Organ donation Awareness Programme was organized at Shrimann Superspeciality Hospital on the occasion of World Kidney Day. National Voluntary Blood Donation Day celebrated on 30th September 2023. A Voluntary Blood Donation camp was organized and more than 50 employees of hospital donated the blood. Camp was inaugurated by Dr. V.P. Sharma, Dr. Rajeev Bhatia, Dr. Harmeet Paul Singh, Dr.Ajay Marwaha & Dr.Kusum Thakur. NGOs and educational institutions, who organized camps last year for ailing patients were being honored along with star donors, couple donors, female donors and family donors. Dr Ashok Mittal, member Rajya Sabha and Chancellor Lovely Professional University was chief guest for this event.
In the loving memory of the Brave Soldiers who lost their lives in the battleground, A blood Donation Camp was organised on the occasion of Kargil Vijay by Shrimann Superspecilaity Hospital on 26th July, 2018. The Camp was supervised by of Medical Officer from Civil hospital, Dr. Navneet Kaur Arora. The camp witnessed a huge turnout as more than 50 people donated blood apart from the Directors of Shrimann Superspeciality Hospital - Dr. V.P Sharma, Dr. Harmeet Paul Singh, Dr. Rajeev Bhatia, Dr. Ajay Marwaha. It was indeed a great way to remember the sacrifice of our Martyrs during the Kargil War.

Organ Failure is becoming a great problem now a days and can be tackled only by Organ Transplants. In India there is a growing need of Organ and Tissue Transplant due to large number of organ failures. Every year approximately 2,50,000 patients need Kidney, 80,000 need Liver and 50,000 need Heart Transplant in India and approx. 16 - 17000 organ transplants are done annually, leaving majority of the patients without organs.
