Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery
At Shrimann Superspeciality Hospital, our expert team of Cardiac Surgeons, Cardiac Anaesthesiologists, Cardiac Nurses, Physician Assistants, Physiotherapists and support staff are dedicated to providing compassionate care in acomforting environment. The department is headed by Dr.(Prof.) Rakesh Sudan who has received numerous awards and recognition for his outstanding achievements in research, practice and teaching.
Various Heart Surgeries being performed are:-
- Beating Heart Surgery for CABG
- Valve Replacement Surgery - MVR, AVR and DVR
- Congenital Defect Surgery ASD, VSD and TOF
- Vascular Surgery
- Thoracic/Lung Surgery
These surgeries are performed in a state of the art Cardiac OT which is equipped with a high-end Heart-Lung machine, Anaesthesia workstation, Intraaortic Baloon Pump (IABP) and a number of other types of equipment. In the post-op period the patients are observed in well-equipped cardiac recovery ICU which is managed by a Cardiac Anaesthesiologist available round the clock, well trained and experienced OT technicians, staff nurses and other support staff.
