ORAL CANCER SYMPOSIUM 2024

Shrimann Superspeciality Hospital organized a symposium on Oral Cancers focused on Recent Advances & Management of Oral Cancers in association with Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences, Jalandhar. This symposium was organized at Shrimann Superspeciality Hospital, Jalandhar on 7th April, 2024 & was granted 4 CME academic hours by Punjab Medical Council.
Globally, Oral Cancer is the sixth most common type of cancer with India contributing to almost one-third of the total burden and is considered the Oral Cancer Capital of the world.
Early detection can lead to better prognosis in Oral Cancer so it is important to detect Oral cancers at an early stage.
There is the need for establishing consensus through doctors participation on the management of Oral Cancers in the light of ever-accumulating evidence.
The event involved over 40 state faculty of National recognition and included:
- Instructional Surgical videos,
- Interactive Panel discussions
- Awards for Trainee Surgeons
- Lectures on all basic and advanced aspects of surgery and management by allied specialties pertaining to Oral Cancer.
Academic event was a grand success as it was attended by more than 150 doctors and was presided over by Dr.Raman Sharma, Deputy Director Health services and Dr. Rajiv Arora Principal Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences, Jalandhar. Shrimann Superspeciality Hospital is proud to set new benchmarks for academic excellence and also contribute in the fight against Oral Cancers.
