Paediatric Cardiology deals with the irregularities and ailments of the heart in kids below 18 years of age. Different types of heart diseases or conditions can affect children in their early childhood or they may suffer from congenital defects, Arrhythmias, Cardiomyopathy, and other heart conditions in children. Paediatric Cardiologists are specially trained to provide care to children with heart conditions and work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to young patients.

We treat a wide range of heart conditions in children, including:

  • Congenital Heart Defects: These are abnormalities of the heart that occur before birth, such as holes in the heart, valve defects, or abnormal blood vessels.
  • Heart Murmurs: These are sounds made by blood flowing through the heart that may indicate an underlying heart condition.
  • Arrhythmias: It refers to irregularities in the rhythm of the heart that can lead to it beating either too quickly, too slowly, or in an irregular pattern.
  • Cardiomyopathy: It is a condition of the heart muscle that can cause the heart to become thickened or weakened.
  • Kawasaki Disease (MIS-C/MIS-N): This is a condition that can cause inflammation of the blood vessels, including those in the heart.
  • Rheumatic Fever and Heart Disease: This is a condition that can develop after a Strep throat infection and can cause inflammation of the heart and other organs.
  • Hypertension: It is a condition in which blood pressure increases.
